How To Run Homebrew on PSP (versions 2.0-2.6)

Published by quadium32 on Jul 17th 2008 So, let’s say you’re short on cash but you’ve already beaten all of your PSP games. A great way to get free (and legal) games on your PSP is to download homebrew, or unofficially homemade, games to play on your PSP. Before starting this, you need to be aware that although most installations of homebrew software go over smoothly, there is always the chance of something going wrong, and by installing homebrew software, you may be voiding the warranty on your PSP. However, if you know what you are doing and follow the steps closely, you shouldn’t have to worry. Unless you have a really old version of the PSP that hasn’t been updated (version 1.5 or earlier can play homebrew right out of the box) you are going to need to use something called a TIFF loader. The file you need is attached to this article. After checking over the Readme files, transfer the necessary files over to your PSP in a folder called Games (as a subfolder of the PSP drive or memory stick folder). After this, the eBoot loader will show up under the pictures section of your PSP menu, and you will be able to choose from a list of available homebrew programs.
